This is a short toptube.
Perfect for riders that are between 4'10" to 5'5"
B: Chain Stay Length: 12.75” - Learn About Chain Stays Here
This is a medium chain-stay designed to give more control on the bike.
C: Head Tube Angle: 75° - Learn About Head Tube Angles Here
Steep head tube angles make the bike "snappy" meaning more responsive to fast turns.
A less steep head tube gives you more control.
D: Seat Tube Angle: 71°
E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.6"
F: Stand over height: 8.5"
This is a medium standover.
A tall standover gives you more stability and will make bars, and t-bogs easier.
The 2020 Type O- is pretty expensive for the price. I wish it was closer to $300, but instead, it is almost $400 dollars. They did include a tiny bit of chromoly on the frame, but I don't think that it makes the bike worth $400.
Nothing really stands out on the Type O-. It's still unsealed, for the most part, it only has a tiny amount of chromoly and it's a little heavy. Remember this is a beginner bike, so it is supposed to be low quality.
Fiends type o- is under $400. To me that's a good price for a beginner bike. Parents are more likely to buy a cheap bike for their kids. And this is really good if we want to grow bmx.
Because the Type O- is cheap, it is going to be cheap quality. I mentioned this before, but the bike isn't very strong. So it should only be used by a new rider.
You should be a really new rider in bmx. The type O- is a good first bike for people that want to test bmx. I recommend buying a cheap low-quality bike for your first purchase. That way you don't waste a lot of money for something that you don't really want to do.
This bike is great for riders between 4' 10" to 5'5"
For a quick progressing beginner, this bike will last around a year.
Good for a beginner rider. But not for anyone with a hefty bag of tricks.
The 2020 Fiend Type O- weighs 27.5 lbs
