Shadow Odin Fork Review

A lot of people love the Shadow Odin Fork because they come in two offset options. On top of that, they took a bunch of steps to make a strong fork that can hold up to brutal riding. Choose between a 25mm offset of a 32 mm offset. This fork is made for any kind of rider who needs a strong fork.

Shadow Odin Fork Overview

Working with Mark Burnett, Shadow designed the Odin Fork to be a lightweight, durable fork that’s perfect for all Marks needs. Improvements havce been made to all the problem areas in modern forks. The steer tube is threadless, making that area much stronger. the steer tube design increases strength at the bearing race, another point where forks typically break. Hydroformed legs with butted thickness because the hydroforming makes it stronger than a typical weld and polish of other forks. Our exclusive RigiDrop system stiffens the drops, stopping the ‘sway’ that a traditional welded drop, making it stronger and less prone to cracking at another problem area. Available in 2 offsets to satisfy the most discerning rider.

Fork Geometry

A: Steerer Length: 165mm

This is the average-sized steer tube. A bigger steer tube will require spacers and make the bars higher. These forks don't do that.

B: Offset: 25mm or 32mm

You get to choose between 25mm or 32mm when you buy these forks.

This is really cool because you can still get the really strong forks, but you can choose the perfect size for you and your riding style.

C: Dropout Size: 10mm

Designed for front wheels with a 10mm front axle. If your front axle is smaller than your rear, its 10mm.

Conclusion

Here's the deal. Mark Burnett absolutely sheds. It's no wonder that he needed these hefty forks. If you are a hefty rider that likes big drops and big tricks, these forks are good for you. In my opinion, $150 is well worth the quality that you get. If you want really responsive forks that will make nose manuals and carving easier.. get the 25mm. If you want a more controlled feeling get the 32mm.
